Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest celebration week!

September 21-September 28, 2019

Welcome to Lazy Monk’s Oktoberfest Celebration! We celebrate all week long with several events for you to attend! Be a part of a few or of them all! Check out below for all the fun things taking place!

Saturday, September 21stWe kick off Oktoberfest week with the The Porter Brothers (Billy Krause Trio) and their fabulous all original music! 7-10pm

Singer-songwriter Billy Krause is a veteran performer who was influenced at an early age by such artists as Richie Havens, Dave Van Ronk, Danny O’Keefe and Gordon Lightfoot. His songs tell tales of broken hearts and newfound love, and sometimes bring the darker side of the human condition to light. Whether this Porter Brothers trio is doing the gravel-in-the-can, the holler of the boogie-woogie or the soft croon of a ballad, their music makes the audience feel right at home.

Keeping the Oktoberfest celebartion alive, we’ve reached into the cellar to pull out one-keg-only of the delicious chocolately Jarmila! Get it while you can because when it’s gone, it’s gone!

The Jarmila is handcrafted in honor of Leo’s loving mother, a dedicated school teacher and devoted mom with a deep love for delicious chocolate. As a young school boy, Leos would come
home to do his homework in the kitchen while his mom made dinner and spoiled him with pieces of chocolate. After Leos had grown, Jarmila would buy all sorts of chocolate, never eating it, but instead saving it for when her youngest came to visit; thus Leos would take home with him ten plus pounds of chocolate at the end of their visits. In tribute to his mother and her beautiful soul,  we bring you this rich chocolaty stout with sweet banana notes.
